Dear Kierstin,

I am writing you this letter to let you know that I have been in your situation before. I am also writing to give you some advice. What you need to do is be true to yourself and don’t let the challenges of being the new kid stop you from succeeding.

I also want to tell you though your family can’t pay for what you want to do don’t give up keep you head.

Kierstin, a 10th grader, just transferred to a new school and isn’t doing
    well in her classes.

Her classes are easy and boring. She has no friends and barely knows anyone. She wants to join the step team but can’t because her family can’t afford it. She has no motivation and hates school. She wishes she had friends. That way, at least she would have something to look forward to each day.
